Life Source International Charter School News Letter
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have made some observations and we would like to provide you with some information, and clarification.
Late Pick-Ups
We have noticed a large number of scholars being picked up after 3:15 p.m. Due to a large number of late pick-ups and because we are short of staff. Going forward there will be a $10.00 fee for each scholar picked up after 3:15 p.m.
Basketball Practice
Basketball practices are on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please ensure that your scholar is packing his/her change of clothing the night before. Scholars will not be allowed to call their parents for a change of clothes due to the overcrowding in the front office and scholars must be responsible and prepared for their practices.
COVID-19 Testing
COVID-19 Testing day is once a week on Wednesday. If your child is absent your child must be tested before coming to school. Please be mindful of the day of testing and avoid absences on testing day.
Parent Conduct
Please be patient and respectful to others when dropping off and picking up your children from school. Parent misconduct may result in issuance of “Stay of Campus”.
Scholar In The Spotlight
Each month Life Source celebrates one scholar from the entire school to be featured in our newsletter. The scholar that is chosen exemplifies a love of learning, a passion for knowledge, a hunger to develop and grow academically, and demonstrates good character.
Daviyon Gibson received an outstanding nomination from his teacher, Ms. Park (8th grade). This is what she shared with us:
“Daviyon Gibson does all his work, performs amazing on assessments, amazing passion for learning. He is always incredibly accountable and helpful. He received straight A’s this quarter and his work really shows. He is always willing to teach others and has a great positive mindset.”
We asked Daviyon if he wanted to share anything with his peers and he had this to say:
“A disciplined mind is an effective mind, put God first.”
Congratulations Daviyon Gibson!!! You are a true representation of what a Life Source scholar should be!

Attendance and Punctuality
Attendance and Punctuality are very important for your Scholar’s Education. In addition to the loss of learning if they have 4 unexcused absences or 10 tardies in that quarter. Your scholar will not be able to go on that quarter’s Field Trip.
HANDS OFF/BULLYING POLICY
Rationale
As a school of community, we have the responsibility to promote peace and harmony within our campus. This policy is to promote an atmosphere and general conduct which discourages/limits the opportunities for Bullying and Harassment and promotes student/staff safety and security.
FREE DRESS DAY
Our next FREE DRESS day is scheduled for November 17, 2021.
Free Dress Day passes are to be purchased through your teachers. Scholars who collect 6 Leader in Me tickets may purchase a Free Dress Day pass.
Scholars it is important that you read the guidelines for Free Dress Day before you select what to wear.
Passes may only be used on the November 17, 2021. Scholars using their passes on an unauthorized day will be sent to the front office and must call home to request a uniform from their parents.
